Seven different rhythmical combinations of the chant are interwoven, creating an awe-inspiring chorus presentation of thrilling sound and vocals by way of musical accompaniment to the dance. No music instrument is played.

The Kecak Dance is often called the "Monkey Dance", because the "cak" crying sound resembles the chattering of monkeys. This choreography is rarely performed, except when specially commissioned.
